Thank you for agreeing to supervise a graduate student from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. We have implemented a software system called E*Value from the MedHub company for the logging and approval of clock hours as well as completion of student evaluations.
You will receive an e-mail approximately two weeks prior to your student’s arrival with login and password information. For new users, please login and change your password under the “Home” tab at the top left of the button bar. After you reach the “home” page, click on “other tasks” in the blue bar. In the list of tasks that come up you will find “change password.”
The first document you will receive is the Clinical Practicum Agreement. It will show up as an evaluation in your system and you will complete it with the student in the first day or two of the placement. It is scheduled to arrive approximately two weeks prior to the student’s start date. The Clinical Practicum Agreement will have the student’s picture and contact information.
The next thing you are likely to receive will be related to clock hours. When a student has entered clock hours and chosen you as their supervisor, you will receive an e-mail with an embedded link. If you click that link, you enter the system without having to sign in. You can always go to the main page and sign in at any time to see if there are clock hours or evaluations waiting.
When you use the e-mail link, you will be taken to a page with a number of fields to be completed. Ignore them all, with the exception of the field near the bottom of the list which indicates “status”. Click the drop down box to indicate “pending” then hit the “next” button at the bottom of the page. You will be presented with a list of the recent hours awaiting approval. Click on the links within each entry to see additional student or client information as necessary.
Please add your amount/type of supervision and then you can click to approve or reject the entry. If you reject an entry, the student is responsible for following up with you to determine the problem and re-enter the information correctly. If everything is fine, there is also an option to approve all items with one click. Be sure to click the “save” or “submit” button at the bottom when completed.
Your student is your best resource for questions related to this system as they are now experts. In addition, the rmuohp.edu website has an instruction sheet to guide you through the process of approving clock hours.
We are here to assist you with any questions you may have as you enter the medhub/e*value world. Contact the clinical coordinator, 385 248 5506 or Wendy Chase, email@example.com/ 385 375 8663 at any time.
If you have received this information before, disregard all of the above and continue your excellent work approving clock hours.
Thank you again for all you do to support clinical education.
